Restoring a database using the CDP backup system is very easy. Please do the
following in to order to restore a database or a single table of that database.
NOTE: At this time user accessible restores can only be done for MySQL
and PGSQL databases.
- Go to Account --> Righteous Backup (or Backup Restore)

- Click "Login" for the MySQL/PGSQL user under the MySQL/PGSQL Backup Manager

- Expand the "/var" area and then the restore point you want to use
- You will now see the databases the user has access to, check the one that you want to restore or check the
columns

- Once you have the database or table checked, click "Restore Selected Files"
NOTE: If you restore just a table make sure all files named after that table are
selected.
- On the next page will be the options for the restore
- Check the "Overwrite Files" checkbox to overwrite the files for the database

- A status page will come up showing the status of the restore
- Once the restore is at "100%" in the Progress column, the restore is complete and you're ready to test
It may take a few of minutes for the MySQL server
to reload the restored files, please be patient. If it doesn't after 10 minutes
contact Support so we can refresh it.

Restoring a mailbox using the CDP backup system is very easy. Please do the
following in to order to restore a database or a single column of that database.
NOTE: Unless you use IMAP or
have your email client set to leave email on the server, restoring email will not bring all email back. The backup only
backs up the email that is on the server at that time.
- Go to Account --> Righteous Backup (or Backup Restore)

- Click "Login" for the email address that you want to restore

- Expand the "/var" area and then the restore point you want to use
- You will now see email address folders

- Check the folders files that you want to restore. Below is a listing of each of the standard folders:
- cur - current messages in the mailbox
- new - new email that hasn't been downloaded and recently came in -- usually empty
- .Sent - used with IMAP for sent email
- .Trash - used with IMAP for Deleted items
- tmp - Not used most of the time
NOTE: you should ONLY restore the
above folders and your own custom folders and not any other files as doing so
may cause your email account to be inaccessible.
- Once you have the folders selected, click "Restore Selected Files"
- On the next page will be the options for the restore
- Selecting "Overwrite Files" will overwrite any messages, so you'll want to be sure you want to overwrite them

- A status page will come up showing the status of the restore
- Once it is says "100%" in the Progress column, the restore is complete
- At this point, open your email cleint and check for new mail
