EasyApps Removal

The developers of the Easyapps auto script installer are putting this item end of life and currently there is no other suitable solution available.

As such, we have decided to completely remove the easyapps items from the control panel. Although we have not marketed this feature for some time now, but kept it in the control panel, we feel it is fair to give our customers the heads-up on this change.

I would like to go through some of the more important reasons:

1) The scripts available in easyapps are outdated by several versions or no longer supported at all and as such are not secure.

2) Most auto-installers are a couple of versions behind the current release version of a script. Because of this, if a customer installed a script that had an exploit, they would continue to let hackers exploit the script and servers. Where as when you get the script from the developer, you are guaranteed to get the latest version of the script.

3) You generally are not able to upgrade scripts to the latest version if it was installed via the auto-installer without breaking the auto-installers control of that install. This makes future upgrades through it an issue and or an impossibility.

We may introduce an installer in the future, however, we want to remove easyapps as of this email so that insecure scripts are not installed going forward.
